on the left和in the left的区别
意思都是在左边，唯一的区别就是介词表达的位置关系不同。表示方位时，in表示在物体的内部，里面；on表示在物体的外部。所以，on the left指在某物之外的左边。in the left指在某物内部的左边。
The tree is on the left of the house.
那棵树在那所房子的左边。
The kitchen is in the left side of the room.
厨房在屋子的左边。
Then do the same thing on the left.
然后在左边做同样的事情。
The university is on the left bank of the river.
大学在河的左岸。
