afraid的用法

afraid是形容词，意为害怕、畏惧、担心某事。一般不能放在名词前作定语.但若是本身有修饰语,则也可以放在名词前作定语，有时构成短语可放在被修饰的名词后作后置定语a boy afraid of dogs 怕狗的男孩。

There\'s nothing to be afraid of.

没有什么要害怕的。

I started to feel afraid of going out alone at night.

我开始害怕夜间单独外出了。

People are often afraid of things they don\'t understand.
