done

形容词 adj.

1、已完成

I have got to go out as soon as this job is done.

完成这项工作后我马上就要出去。

2、煮熟的

The meat’s ready but the vegetables still are not done.

肉食已经好了, 蔬菜还未做好。

3、合乎礼仪；合乎规矩；得体

感叹词 interj.

1、(表示接受建议)

“I’ll give you twenty pounds for it.”“Done!”

“我出价二十英镑。”“成交!”

2、处境艰难；注定完蛋；肯定不行

The supplies are so low that we will be done for in a few days if help doesn’t come soon.

补给太少了，如果得不到救援的话，我们几天之内就会完蛋。

I think the project is done for—the money’s almost gone and we’ve got no results after three years’ hard work.

我认为这个项目肯定不行，钱几乎花光了，苦干了三年仍毫无结果。

3、因轻微违法受罚

I got done for speeding on my way back home.

我在回家的路上因超速行驶而受罚。

4、与( 某人) 断绝关系；做完，了结(尤指令人不快的事情)

5、了结

Well I’m glad that’s over and done with. I was so nervous.

Everybody else seems to think the deal will be done and dusted by lunchtime, but I’m not so sure.
