parent和parents的区别

parent可用作名词、动词。作名词时除了指父亲或母亲，还可用于文学语言夸张用语中，可表示“根源,开始”,通常用单数形式。parent在句中可修饰其他名词作定语，表示能够繁衍的“母体”。

parents只能用作名词（复数名词），当名词所有格前面有s时，直接在s后加一撇就好了不用再加。

Children find it difficult if a parent is inconsistent.

如果做父母的不始终如一，孩子会觉得无所适从。

The child\'s same-sex parent acts as a role model.

孩子的同性家长是孩子效仿的榜样。
