boost与promote区别

boost原义指从后面或下面推起或提高,现常用于指提高价格、振作精神等抽象概念；promote解释为“促进”时,一般都意为好的东西,不可用于不好的,如战争。

The tax cuts will give a much needed boost to the economy.

减税将给经济带来迫切需要的推动力。
