fail to do和fail doing的区别

fail to do 不能；未能做；没有能力做某事；使…失望（这件事还没做）；

fail doing 在某些方面失败/不足；考试不及格（强调这件事已经做过了，结果是失败的）；

fail doing 很少用doing，一般后接名词。大部分做考试不及格的意思。
