the的复数

the 没有复数.现代英语里名词才有复数,动词才有第三人称单数,the是冠词,没有复数。

1、the+复数名词，表示特指某一类人或事。复数名词本身表示泛指这一类人或事。比如the pens on the desk 特指桌上的几只钢笔；pens 只是泛指钢笔

2、用在表示乐器的名词之前加the，运动类的.不用。比如play the piano，play football 。

3、the与单数名词连用表示一类事物，如the dollar 美元; the fox 狐狸；或与形容词或分词连用，表示一类人the rich 富人; the living 生者。

4、指世界上独一无二的事物。例如 Which is the biggest, the sun, the earth or the moon? 太阳、地球和月亮哪一个最大？
