more than one 意思是不止一个。
more than one 作主语时，谓语动词通常用单数（要从形式一致来考虑）。
注意以下两个结构
1.more than one +单数名词 作主语时，谓语动词用单数。
2.more +复数名词+than one 作主语时，谓语动词用复数。
也可以这么说以上结构中名词的数决定其后面动词的数。
例如不止一个男孩读过这个故事。
More than one boy has read the story.
More boys than one have read the story.
