celebrate的用法

celebrate 是及物动词，后面直接跟名词，或者用动名词，doing sth，还有that引导的宾语从句。及物动词 vt.

1、庆祝We held a party to celebrate our success. 我们举行宴会庆祝我们的成功。

2、举行(宗教仪式);主持(圣餐等)3.颂扬,赞美The event was celebrated by poets and historians. 这一事件为诗人和历史学家所赞颂。congratulate oneself才是：“暗自庆幸，感到幸运” 的意思

celebrate的用法

◆celebration是名词，celebrate是动词，所以前者可以作主语或宾语用，后者可以作谓语用。 举例：

①The interest of all the students converged upon the celebration. 全体学生的兴趣都集中于庆祝会。

②celebrate christmas 庆祝圣诞
