type的几种形式
type既可以作名词,也可以作动词。
1、 type作名词
(1)one member of group of people or things that have similar features or qualities类型,种类
例如:I have seen a few movies of this type.
我已经看过几部这种类型的影片了。
(2)a person who has or seems to have a particular character某种类型的人
例如:Beth is not the type to make a fuss.
贝斯不是那种小题大做的人。
2、 type作动词
(1)to write something using a computer or a typewriter用计算机或打字机打字
例如:He types with two fingers.
他用两个手指打字。
(2)to find out what group something such as blood, cells or a disease belong to找出血液细胞或疾病的类型,把……分类
例如:DNA typing
脱氧核糖核酸分类
3、 type的形容词是typical。
(1)having the usual features or qualities of a particular group or say,典型的,有代表性的
例如:This painting is typical of his work.
这幅画是他的典型作品。
(2) happening in the usual way一贯的,平常的
例如: On a typical day, our students go to classes from 7:30 AM to 1:00 PM.
平时我们学生的上课时间是上午7:30到下午1点。
(3) behaving in the way that you expect不出所料的
例如: It\'s not typical of Gill to be so critical.
吉尔一般不会这么挑剔。
4、 type的副词是typically。
(1) in a way that a person or group is generally believed to be haven一向如此
例如: Typically, he didn\'t even bother to tell anyone he was going.
他还是那样,甚至都没有告诉任何人他要走了。
(2) in a way that shows the usual or expected features of someone or something典型的,具有代表性的
例如: The male of the species is typically smaller than the female.
这一物种的雄性一般要比雌性小一些。
(3) in the way that a particular type of something usually happens一般,通常
例如: I typically get around 30 emails a day.
我一般每天收到大约30封电子邮件。
